Persistence policy

A DRI, once issued, is never deleted and never reassigned to a different object. Withdrawn objects resolve to a stable tombstone page rather than disappearing. Resolution is free and unauthenticated, permanently.

Portability & succession

The full identifier-to-target map and metadata are exported nightly in open formats (JSON and CSV) and held so that the registry can be reconstituted by a successor steward if DRI ceases to operate.

Persistence is a matter of service, not of syntax — a promise kept with infrastructure and process. The domain dri-id.everedgegroup.com is the anchor; the full identifier-to-target map is exportable at any time in open formats.

A machine-readable copy of this statement is included in every ?info response and in every nightly escrow dump.
